Anger can be the source of many crimes, especially those that involve physical assault. An incident on Indianapolis’ west side shows how a violent attack can erupt from what may have begun as a verbal dispute.
According to witnesses, two men were seen arguing. The younger of the two men struck the other in the head with a baseball bat. The victim was taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where he died from his injury the next morning. According to police, witnesses do not know what precipitated the argument or where the suspect obtained the bat. The suspect was arrested the next day and charged with murder.
Police are still investigating the crime. No motive for the attack has been released, and police have not disclosed whether the two men had a prior relationship. Police are continuing their investigation. Many facts remain unknown. Did the victim do anything to provoke the attack? Was either man armed? What were the activities of the two men before the assault?
